    Default Horse and long gun

Dumb question. Is it legal to have a loaded long gun while riding a horse

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. A horse is a mode of conveyance. Any mode of conveyance requires a LTCF, which doesn't cover typical rifles (16"+). I could be wrong though.

This above is probably the most accurate answer.

And right now, any method of carry, of any type of firearm, on public domain requires a LTCF due to a declared state of emergency. But even with that, only "firearms" are allowed to be loaded in/on/upon vehicles.

How then, do they rationalize having a loaded duck gun in a canoe?

Probably because "hunting" - the only legit reason to own a gun per the constitution.

You can hunt and shoot from horses. I've watched hunters on horseback at the State Gamelands at Blue Marsh hunt and shoot stocked quail from horseback.

Canoe cannot have a motor attached.

I've hunted and shot ducks from my duck boat that has a motor attached to it. Perfectly legal.

Can you attach a motor to a horse? I believe the law says you can not have a loaded rifle in a vehicle. A horse isn't a vehicle. You can't be arrested for DUI on a horse. So I would think the same principle would apply to carrying a loaded rifle.
