Default 21:45 left until the polls open ...

    Any last minute plans?

Will ammo go through the roof in the coming weeks with the anticipation of the coronation of Prince "O"?

It's going to be a long, dreary winter at this rate.

I'm just wonderin gif I'll even be able to vote. I am at work well before the polls open, and our town has only one polling place so its gonna be a friggin madhouse after work. Last time my wife and I waited over an hour and a half just to get into the building. This times its gonna be worse.

You need to talk to "Doodad Pro." Maybe he'll have some sort of influence with the electoral workers.

The story of "Doodad Pro": http://www.newsweek.com/id/162403

I find it an amazingly sad commentary on this country and the state of its general morals that we find ourselves about to be saddled with a candidate so inclined to win at any cost. The whole of his candidacy smells, from the refusal of the federal court system to allow Berg to press his lawsuit, to his wildly irregular campaign contribution policies, to his history of hobnobbing with the likes Ayers and Wright, to his unreserved support of a Marxist Kenyan politician in cahoots with Islamofascists.

Please don't include me in any "we" that would suggest that "we" get what "we" deserve.

I'll wait in line for however long it takes. I haven't decided whether I'm going to vote before or after work, depends on if I wake up early enough

I'm unfortunatly going to have to vote past 3pm, and looks like I might as well pack a sandwich for the line. Also going to bring my ipod so I don't have to listen to the last minute scaremongering.

    Scare-mongering?

    Scaramanga?

Hee. Here, have some "propaganda" early, on me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDVM7ODUBn8

Nobody in the MSM seems willing to face up to the ugly truth: Obama thinks that it's perfectly fine for Peggy to fish around in Joe's pocket, and that's the very tip of a horribly ugly iceberg. "Spreading the wealth" is always on the lips of a Volvo liberal, just so long as it isn't his or hers, but somebody else's.

Well, at least the Libs have gotten past one hurdle, haven't they? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP7fJR9PaXI Maybe they'll manage to get some common sense at our common expense before they have enough time at the head of things to screw them up quite perfectly and them pass the mess along to a more conservative administration.

I really can't believe that all of this is happening, but I know that it isn't a dream -- it's a nightmare fleshed out and yet grinning like a skeleton.

Really? Wow. I can't believe you "buy into" all that.

Actually, I read some of your other posts, I do see that you believe all that.

I believe that Obama will be hard tested not to put the interests of the rest of the world over those of the US, and I am afraid that he will fail in this regard. I'm fairly certain that he sees himself as a secular archangel of sorts, come to smite certain things, dear to those more conservative, that he sees as social ills, inasmuch as he can without alienating the portion of the population who refused to vote for him so much so that he foments open insurrection. And while he might not do it in the first four years, if he gets another term, he'll gut the Second Amendment once he's managed to stack SCOTUS and the legislative bodies with bodies more likely to respond to his favor.

What is so hard to believe? All you need to do is look at the man's ideas, policies, and things he has voted for in the past. It is all about taking from those who have and giving to those who don't have - i.e. socialism. Of course, one of the biggest problems we have in this country is that people believe what they (politicians) say when they are campaigning, rather than actually reading up on their past behavior (their record). There are many people out there saying gun owners have nothing to worry about because Obama says he doesn't want to take our guns.

    Really?

Look at his voting record for the truth. This man would stand on one foot and whistle Dixie while stark naked if he thought it would get people to vote for him.

I quoted your "Joe the Plumber" excerpt and the Peggy Joseph clips. Joe the plumber is an idiot. Even Fox News thinks so now that he's had plenty of time to show himself.

Do you think that Peggy Joseph is planning on quitting her job because Obama will pay all of her bills? Or maybe she meant that living costs may start coming down, and tax cuts will help her manage those costs better?

Posting clips like that makes "rational people" wonder if YOU believe your own propaganda.

Regarding SCOTUS - the justices are a LITTLE smarter than your average squirrel. If you were a right-leaning judge, and considering retirement any time soon, you left under Bush so that he'd replace you with a right-leaning judge. No right-leaning judge will leave in the next 4 years for that reason.

Same thing will happen on the other side - the justices that are left leaning, that were considering retirement, held on as long as possible so their seat doesn't get Harriet Meiers nominated to replace them.

And for those of you crying "OMG - SOCIALIST!" - umm, look at what Pres. Bush did, and McCain voted for - flooding the US banks with federal money. That's called socialism. Hate to break it to you, but Bush got you there.
