See above regarding Tula and Italy was devastated during the height of covid I’m sure the ammo manufactures were shut down. Any primers they are making are going to ship right to ammo manufactures who need them.

Last shortage in 2013, I remember by 2015 Cabelas had tons of those $19.99 Sellier and Bellot primers for sale. I was buying them up with 20% gift cards.

I'd imagine by 2022 or 2023, probably the same will happen. I believe there is also primers from Bosnia that have been imported in the past as well as the Fiocchi from Italy. RWS RUAG also make primers somewhere in central Europe.

I would simply expect 2022 to be extremely lean and at times we'll just have empty shelves. If you didn't buy cheap, stack deep in 2015-2019, so sad too bad. If you weren't buying steel cased 9mm for $6.19 a box or brass cased 9mm for $7.50 a box, well, what can one say? It wasn't going to get any cheaper than that.

Also metals prices are going way up so that will not help prices. I think it will be years until we see some good deals on ammo again.

I just used the last of my S&B primers I got from Cabelas a few years back.

I hope the boats are loaded and on their way with foreign primers!

I refuse to pay more for 7.62x39 than I did when I first got back into shooting again.
Anything more than $2.99/box is price gouging!
    I'll wait.

Tula primers are made in Russia and have been banned from import for a number of years. The Tula branded ammo sold here is made in other countries.

I know I*ve bought and used Wolf primers within the last 10 or so years but I dont recall where they claimed to be made.
