I agree with you that virtue signaling is lame. A commercial that shows a mixed race family or relationship is not virtue signaling. It is smart marketing. There are people like me that exist in this country and a company that recognizes that by putting it in a commercial is actively pursuing that demographic to spend money on their products or services. For example I have seen Springfield Armory put a brown guy in their ad for the Hellcat. Is that pandering? I don't think so. They recognize that there are a lot of new gun owners, some of which are women and minorities. SA wants them to buy their products.

Pandering to me is what Nascar did when a garage pull was intentionally mischaracterized as a noose directed at Bubba Wallace when it fact it was there for at least 8 months before he used that garage.

I am just so thrilled to see mixed couples in advertising scenes. And two mommies and a child. And two Daddies preparing a meal. And I absolutely loved loved loved the scene when Hondo stepped away from his SWAT team and marched with the protesters!

One of my biggest gripes with the mainstream/legacy media (after them being the fully paid partisan wing of the democratic party) is that their claim that the white supremacists were in now in charge with Trump as president got the couple hundred or so of them in the US to come out of their basements and foul the discussion with their stench.

Nothing wrong with that either. I don't like it when Progressive Democrat politicians and media imply that.

The politicians, bureaucrats, and mainstream media are the ones playing identity politics. I hope that we as a 2A community prove them wrong. Non white people feeling welcome in the 2A community will go a long way into neutralizing the effectiveness of Progressive Democrats' distracting and dividing people.
