Good AND cheap ar handguard option?

I'm stocking up on spare parts. Naturally that means i have all of the parts to build another rifle.

I don't want to drop 150$ on a handguard that is meant as a spare.

Does anybody have any recommendations for a good free float handguard?

Should be roughly 12" length (so i can use it on anything from carbine to rifle length). It would be good if it comes with any wrench it might need (assuming it isn't a standard armorer's wrench).

I'd consider anything below 100$ "cheap" in this context.

I've bought several free float hand guards from Combat Armory. Cheap but functional.

I also like FM (Foxtrot Mike) products.

I bought a really nice upper and matching hand guard from FM for $169 that I use on my 1000yrd AR build.

I should have clarified. It can't really be much larger than 12" either since i have 2 faxon 14.5" barrels with integral brakes. It would chew into the handguard in fast order.

Check out UTG pro offerings. Their PRO line is all American made they have really good customer support and they are still affordable.

Wow. Those combat armory handguards are indeed cheap. What kind of barrel nut does it use?

And i looked at fm really quickly, but didn't see just handguards. I'm probably not looking in the right place.

Check out UTG pro offerings. Their PRO line is all American made they have really good customer support and they are still affordable.

Supposedly that is what some s&w handguards are. I believe that is what is on my m&p-15t. I'm take a look. Thanks!

Combat Armory uses what I call the "universal chinese barrel nut". Seems all el cheapo guards that I've run into uses the same generic nut that I tighten with a large crescent wrench.

I looked at FM handguads at Primary Arms and it seems most are only 10 or 15 inch.
