Dumb shotgun questions
I am not 100% upto shotgun do and don'ts. So forgive me with this one.
I have a 12ga bullpop shotgun I just picked up cheap. Says it's for 3" shells. Does that mean I can only use 3" shells or can I also run 2 3/4" shells
Also, what are the thoughts and restrictions on putting grips on them. I'd like to put a vertical fore grip on.
Thank you for any help.If the Internet says it, then it must be true.

Re: Dumb shotgun questions
Max 3", 2 3/4 would be fine. Go nuts on grips.

Re: Dumb shotgun questions
Is it better to use a shot shell that has those BBs in it or is it better to use a shot shell with a single projectile?
i always wondered if using a shot shell with BBs, in a home defense situation, would land those BBs all over the place and cause unintended damage. I always felt one projectile was better than 16 BBs all over the place."May the odds be ever in America's favor"

Re: Dumb shotgun questions
At home defense distances those "BB's" will all be in a 2-4 inch circle.

Re: Dumb shotgun questions
I believe that a slug would have significant chance of overpenetration into other rooms if that is a consideration. Lighter shot maybe not so much.

Re: Dumb shotgun questions
Isn't slug use determined by the type of barrel?
Unless I'm mistaken:
Some barrels are rifled - most are smooth.
Some slugs are "rifled" - most are smooth.
I never did look into the slug thing before selling my shotguns, so I'm not sure.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
