Re: How do you store your ammo?
Ammo cans, either loose, on strippers or boxed depending on what*s convenient at the time. Lots is still in factory cases on shelves. Modern ammunition stored in a climate controlled basement with no other precautions will be viable for many, many years.

Re: How do you store your ammo?
I actually bought a large stack on gun cabinet earlier this year and locked up all of my ammo, since my ammo now seems more valuable than the guns in my Liberty safe.
I keep everything in a dehumidified heated basement, so I don't have corrosion concerns. I keep factory ammo in their boxes, in case I get to shooting it and find an issue with a box or lot. I also keep my reloads separated by lots like that for the same reason, rather than tossing 5.56 with different brands of primers or something into the same can.In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796

50cal and 30cal ammo cans. They had them at Sams Club a year or two ago, so I bought quite a few. I have a few of the plastic ammo cans also, but I much prefer the metal military style cans. I also throw a silica pack in them, especially if I'm planning to store long term. I have a couple cases of shotgun target loads that just sit in their original cardboard box.

Ammo boxes, ziploc bags, coffee cans, tupperware, basically what ever I have. I haven't bought factory ammo in so long that original packaging is impossible. If I can find a quantity of suitable containers I may consolidate for ease of storage but I don't get too hung up on it.

Re: How do you store your ammo?
I store my ammo in 120 mm cans (When I have ammo) about 15 plus years ago my SIL was in the US Army with assignment to Fort Drum; wife and I travel to Drum for a vacation and while there SIL asked if I would be interested in 20 or 25 120MM ammo cans. I looked them over and told him I would take all that he could get his hands on.
I was given 29 of the cans----best ammo storage containers available and priced rightThe oracle is in. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!!

Re: How do you store your ammo?
Mine typically gets used up pretty quickly. So the stuff I reload goes into empty coffee containers in 300 round units (the amount I reload in one session) for pistol calibers. Factory ammo remains in their original boxes.
