The rounds with the medium loads were essentially the same. 1109 FPS for the magnum primer vs 1111 standard - within 0.2%. The range and standard deviation were also the same.

That's with Bullseye. The results might vary with another powder. But Neill and I both plan to use Bullseye for our 9mm, so I consider these primers to be a drop-in replacement.

So I bought the 7,000 primers. The guy had some other stuff for sale, and he sold me a carton full of self-defense ammo, 21 boxes, for $100. Mostly Hydra-Shoks and Black Talons. Half of it is 10mm, I guess I need to buy another gun now.

    I sized and trimmed 51 .300 winmags.
Tikka scope rail is due in 3 days.

Got a box each of Berger VLDs in 185 and 190.
Got 5 pounds of H hybrid 100V to work a new load since my 8 pound jug of IMR4350 is on backorder now

    I didn't not reload anything.

What you over-paid on the primers you made up on the ammo. Nicely done.

I got 3k SPP and 2k LRP today for free so today was a good day. They're from the early or mid 90's but the gifter said they were properly stored. I will be cautious regardless.

Congrats on the primers! And I don't think I overpaid. I'm thinking we have another 2 years to go on this shortage, and guys will be wishing for $100 primers soon. I may go back and buy the other 3,000. I'll bet I can cover it just by flipping the Black Talons!

Drastic times call for drastic measures. There will be a lot of guys sitting at home with no ammo to shoot.

This is true. *Over-pay* is a term that is relevant to each individual, because everyone must determine what primers are worth to them. I may agree that $100 is a smokin deal on 1000 primers in a year. It certainly is right now based on gunbroker pricing. I have enough primers for a couple years of shooting, then I will be back in the race!
