Re: What did you reload today?
keep stuffing those 30 carbine food, I gave my nephew my M1 Carbine and all the mags and ammo to him for his 18th birthday, some 30 years ago. I acquired a new Auto Ordnance M1 Carbine about a year ago in a package trade. Intended to keep it till I saw the current price of mags and ammo for them, MilSurp has pretty much dried up and civvy ammo is at a premium price. much the same way I started reloading because of the shortage and price of .41 Magnum shortly after O'Bama's first coronation.

Re: What did you reload today?
There are a few tricks. Even if you have carbide dies you need to give the cases a little lube since the walls are are so thick. And even though they are thick you have to check and maybe trim the cases for OAL after each shot or two (that part is a real pain). Other than that its easy. load to the correct OAL and use the full load of H110 or W296. You don't work up loads with H110 or W296. If the powder fits in the case your good. Famous last words but I don't know of any straight walled cases where this is not true.

Expanded the necks of 60 pcs of 307 Win brass to .338 then to nominal .356, the last operation in a 356 Win full length sizing die. Then loaded all 60 using a personally proven load of 12 gr of Unique under a cast gas checked 200 gr .358 RNFP. Hella accurate at 100 meters out of my 1894 Big Bore levergun with open sights, no recoil.

Re: What did you reload today?
Yup. I used the light film of lube on the 30 Carbine cases to size. My issue on reloading them is the difference in brass from the factory cases I've shot. Remington brass is thin. Cases stretch big time. PPU and Win white box are similar as is Armscor. Lake City surplus is the best but my Plainfield and Underwoods love Aquila. But their cases are much thicker at the case mouth that I had to take some diameter off my trimmer pilots just to get the cases started. I ordered surplus Lake City through the CMP and have enough brass now along with some purchased Starline to keep me shooting much cheaper going forward. (Be wary of the new Remington rounds though). Had some cases split during range time. Showed signs of over-pressure. They had so much black pine pitch sealer on the case mouths that 25 to 30 hard strikes on concrete with my inertia bullet puller couldn't get the bullets out to try to salvage the rest of the box. They barely moved at all!!! I wrote Remington's Customer Service about the issue. Got crickets chirping/no response!

Just resized 40 plus 10.mm. They were really clean after 12 hours in my tumbler.
Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

I had the idea pop up. To load some 9mm with bullseye. 125 grain cast with 4 grains. Maybe it will be a good load.
