Yesterday afternoon I loaded 51 rounds of 45 acp with 200 gr SWC bullets over 5.2 gr of 700-X powder.

Please note that the 45 rounds in the right side of the case with a black dot on the primers did not go down all of the way into my bullet gauge. They were ever so slightly high in the gauge. I had to make a slight adjustment in my crimping die. My fault.

My step father passed away two weeks ago. He was a lifelong hunter and reloader.
I drove "back home" to help my mother do some things today and I started sorting through some gun stuff while I was there.

Decades of stuff spread out on benches - frozen in time - right where they were when he last spent time there.
I don't even know what I was looking at. She asked if I wanted any of it.

I told her I was too busy not reloading to put it to use. (ha)

In time I'll have to try to determine what is what to see if it's worth selling for her.

That sounds kind of sad to see.

I actually had you in mind.
I wish I would have taken a picture of that stuff so someone could maybe identify some of it.
I think there were two presses - if they were both presses. They looked pretty "small" - probably pretty old.
Lots of boxes - probably dies for assorted "hunting" calibers.
Several ammo cans with labels that had numbers I did not recognize.
My time was limited, so I haven't dug into it yet.

You have my condolences on the loss of your step father. God bless you and your family.

Sunday morning reloading session. 101 Remington 230 gr fmj bullets over 4.6 grs of 700-X loaded in WWII GI Brass cases. These will be tested in my HK Tactical pistol and my HK UMP clone with 100% HK parts with new HK UMP barrel.

Reloaded 100 rounds of 6.5 CR. 140gr Hornady ELDM's, 41 grains of Accurate 2700, CCI 200 primers and Hornady cases. Finally settled on this combination for my Tikka. It loves these loads.
