I just picked up some 165 Accubonds but might also try IMR 7828SSC which I also just got. The store also had some H1000 so I'll mess around with those combos. Just over a half minute on the first 2 pics made me smile. I'm not sure I can see much better to actually shoot better.

The H100V might tweak in a bit more between the loads I had but looked pretty consistant through those first 3 targets all sub minute but I'd like to improve that if the old eyes can see.

I might try shooting that rifle left handed for a better reticle / target picture.

Stabbing my self in the eye with a sawzall blade years ago hasn't helped ( I try 4 or 5 pairs of cheaters to get a combination of clear reticle and focused target picture). Due for eyeglasses.

If the 165s do much better, I'll focus on working those.

A friend is giving me another pound of 4350.

For now, I have a rifle and a backup that are shooting pretty good but I'll run them both out to 300.

    I should shoot more.

I found a jug of Superformance in stock a few months ago so I was finally able to crack it open and load some 140gr 6.5creedmore rounds to test it with.
I should be able to test them out at 400yds this weekend, and maybe open it up to 600 with trimming a few trees..

I loaded some of the 165 accubonds using both 7728ssc and Ime4350. I used Noslers most accurate load data.

Tomorrow, I'll load a few 180s with 7828 as well and see how they run.

I loaded some .300 winmags. Nothing hot but midrange. One load did get up to near max but accuracy fell off with .3 grain additions.

I gathered up the cases from both rifles but was running a bit late so didn'.t really look at them till the next day.

10 cases had the preliminary bright ring above the belt indicting they were ready to have a case head failures.

These are Sig brass and probly 4 or 5 reloads so They were getting ready to be retired.

I usually take the time to check the primers or other indicators of high pressure but up to this point, have had no issues.

I cut one of the cases to see what I already knew.

I checked all the others and they do not have any indication of this weakening.

I'll bend a brazing rod and see if I can feel any groove within the other cases.

Most of the brass Ive been using has had at least 3 firings and I have one bag of 50 unused which I was waiting to see If more winmag cases are available before using them for load workup.

If I get something that gives me under a minute at 300 yards, I'll load some to keep as a group of hunting rounds.

My .06 cases are used till I start getting cracks on the neck and havent had an issue with .308s as yet.

I'll probly just bite the bullet and order a couple hundred new .300WMs if I can find them. and discard the lot I've been using.

I have a couple thousand .38 cases, have primers and some Unique and 700X to play with.
I may give these a whirl after reading up a bit more on reloading lead and doing a couple hundred 10mms first.

The H&G 50 is the gold standard for .38 wadcutters. Nice gift!
