"...and prohibiting people convicted of hate crimes from owning guns."

See, that's some scary shit right there because 'they' get to determine what constitutes a hate crime. So if you get into it with your asshole neighbor, and he starts screaming about you being a Trump supporter, I fully expect the argument to get defined as a full-on hate crime.

Yep, and with the way things are going, ex post facto charging of hate crimes for years old social media posts is not unthinkable. If you ever said anything racist, you'd be prohibited.

When slick willy passed the AWB the dems lost the House and Senate in the next election.
We are a long way from 1994 my friend. They have had 27 years worth of propaganda, demonization, and brainwashing going on since.

Few thought Biden would win and even fewer thought Georgia would flip blue regardless if there was cheating or not.

That may be, though there are many more gun owners today than in 1994.

If you are correct, it would be a sad commentary on the resolve of gun owners.

The rank and file democrat voters would rather see the lawmakers work on stimulous checks, medicare for all, college debt relief, rebuilding cities, etc. There is only 24 hours in a day and gun control is a poison pill as even the democrats admit.

I am just leery of all the guys who were salivating when the pistol brace scheme was announced a month ago, thinking they could get a "free" SBR registration.

Lets say you dont comply and dont register you gun.
Later, you shoot a bad guy who broke into your house with that gun.
Wont they find out that the gun wasnt registered accordingly?

maybe back when they had to be concerned about reelection. Now they know that they can commit massive voter fraud without any real investigation into allegations and without consequence, what's to stop them? Sure there will be more people clamoring against a new AWB or outright ban, but as long as they don't mess with pappy fudd's over and under duck shotty, getting rid of black rifles with no real sport hunting use won't get the majority of gun owners that upset.

I guess they could in that scenario depends on what they want you to register and what they don’t vs what you choose to use to protect yourself.

If you live rural a shovel or backhoe, and a bag of lime might be a good option.

    I kid, I kid.
