Default Polytech AKS-762, AK-47 double under folder joins the family

I got a text from the gun shop owner I deal with that he got in a PreBan AK and asked if I was interested, Well, Yes, Sure,
This is a PolyTech AK made in China, Yes its a stamped receiver which does disappoint me as they sold the PolyTech Legend in the same time frame which was milled,, BUT this one is the double under folder which used a SKS style folding bayonet, Well, Its in dang near new condition but has been fired, Found some carbon on gas piston, But no wear on the bolt assembly,,,,
I was actually looking for one of the 2000 era WASR to make a beater out of it, Well I guess Im still looking for one of the cheap century models with what looked like plywood furniture, For now Im glad to have acquired this beauty,
    Enjoy 2021 !

I never even knew they existed until I went to look at it this morning,
Ive read a bit about them as well, Are they really that elusive or desirable?
While Ive never seen one in the wild, Does not mean they are not around,
I will say that the trigger is very light and you really don't feel the break coming on, It has to be in the 3 pound pull range and very smooth,
One distraction is its not the OEM mag, and they seem to be in the $200 range,,,

Not rare, but not common either. I can't make out the mag from your pics. Is it Chinese? A 'standard' Chinese steel mag (maybe not a Polytech triangle witness hole chrome follower CHINA marked one) is only about $30-$40.

Double folder, nice. I always wanted a Norinco or Polytech folder so I could slap on a -74 style brake and a bakelite mag so I could have a Hollywood AKS-74 like the ones from Rambo III or GoldenEye.

It’s a vintage Chinese copy of a revolutionary fire arm design from 1947. Like a fine work or art!
