If you want to start shooting USPSA, or even if you’re just interested, this free class is for you! The class is the Saturday before our first match and typically consists of:
- 3 hours of classroom (including an outdoor demo)
- Lunch
- Optional: The opportunity to shoot a couple of stages in the afternoon
Even if you don’t have a gun or competition gear, you can still attend. The class will help you decide what division to shoot in and what equipment to pick up.

The average match is 140 rounds and usually a $20 match fee. Being a member of USPSA isnt a requirement but encouraged for scoring and supporting the sport.
Try it out, find out how much fun it is, and meet lots of great people! Your shooting skills will certainly increase as well.
Dont worry about showing up to your first match with the right gear. Come and learn first. In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796

Howdy, is there any chance of this sort of class happening again? Don't see anything on your club's (or anyone else's, for that matter) calendars, but I know myself and at least 1-2 others who would benefit from an Intro to Competitive Shooting type event.
