I recall seeing another thread on this recently....about an ad asking people to lock up their guns and keep their ammo separate.

I also saw the other thread about this. Why is the ad a problem? Clearly the advertiser (not the radio station) believes the 1210 audience is its target audience. By selling advertising for legal items (thoughts) the radio station is promoting and defending capitalism at its finest.

Should broadcasters act as filters? thereby denying an advertiser their right to engage in commerce? Should liberal stations not run advertisements for gun shops or the NRA? If so, where does it stop?

Fine, take their "advice" verbatim. Separate ammo and guns and lock them out of reach. That way your loved one will be forced to commit suicide in any way but a gun. And if the home is invaded, you may as well consider yourself a suicide attributable to the guns...that you couldn't get to.
