AK Dilemma - Yugo M70AB2
I've disassembled several AK variants over the years, but this one has me stumped !
Attempting to upgrade fire control group in Yugo M70AB2 Underfolder.
The hammer and trigger axis pins WILL NOT BUDGE despite using a flat punch and hammer.
Took the pressure off the hammer by securing the spring. Sprayed the pins with penetrating oil.
What's really puzzling is the fact that there's no Shepard Hook or retaining plate present.
I'm wondering if the pins are secured with cir-clips in lieu of a Shepard Hook ? It's impossible to tell by sight.
Any help is appreciated !"Mongo just pawn in game of life"

I've heard of people using clips on them, but you should be able to see those inside the receiver. For small work, I've started using my phone camera. Do the pins wiggle/rotate at all?

They do wiggle and partially rotate.
I'll try magnifying the pins with mobile phone.

I had one, it had 2 little C clips on the pins. Hard to see. I never had to remove them so I don't know how hard it is.

Many thanks!
That's the only thing that it can be.
Incredibly hard to see, especially the hammer pin. They look like washers rather than cir-clips.
Can't seem to turn them enough to access the open side of the clip in order to remove them with a punch.
Extremely frustrating !

That yugo spring is a real pain. I'd suggest having a retainer plate at the ready before you tear the old one out, you're not going to want to put it back in.

What are you upgrading to? Mine had a Tapco G2 in it when I got it. I was thinking about an ALG for my AKs, but I heard people were having issues with the trigger not resetting.
