All modern duty caliber handgun rounds are a compromise and pretty much all perform the same way when hitting flesh and bone.

All the more reason to carry at the range. Shooting someone with ball ammo is like hitting them with a pointy stick.

I agree, always have a handgun on me at all times. It was also a deciding factor in the club I joined as well which promotes defensive practice and matches. There are a lot of clubs in my immediate area but none allow drawing from a holster or shooting while moving within reason. I drive 55 minutes in order to be able to properly practice with my firearms.

That's why most of us poofers from the Pittsburgh area belong to PMSC. Except for the steel bays, we don't have a square pistol range with a set firing line and a bunch of rules. We have many bays where you can do your own thing. Draw from a holster, shoot on the move, shooting an AR at personal-defense distances, pistol to rifle transitions, stand on your head and dump a mag if you want to, as long as your rounds are hitting the berm.

And that bay is mine and mine alone, unless I invite others. I don't have to worry about being around randos with guns.

Mostly 9mm, but some .45 and .40 mixed in. Every so often .380 shows up and in a couple cases 5.7

A lot of mag dumps into chest and head will do the trick. A few butt shots ended up deaths, I guess it hit an artery. Some guys survive with 5-6 shots, got lucky I guess, hitting nothing important.

What do you base this off of, because it goes against conventional wisdom.

The 45 in his name should be all the clue you need for this 😂

But a big blunt .45cal stick beats a pointy 9mm/.35cal stick!

Remember , the .45 cal 1911 got it's reputation as a one=shot fight stopper using USGI 230gr RN-FMJ 'ball' ammo. And during WAR. It's opponent , the 9mm did NOT!
    I don't speak English , I talk American!
