So, with this logic and based on Lyman data for 115gn JHP starting load, I would go:

    Titegroup: 4.0
    Bullseye: 3.5
    Power Pistol: 5.9

All starting. This is start for 115gn JHP. This is not mid, this is start for JHP. I am using 115gn Plated RN.

    Thoughts?

Don't have data on Titegroup or bullseye. But 5.9 for Power Pistol seems too high to start for cast, coated or plated lead.
Hodgdon web data says 3.9 for titegroup with 115 gr RN. So 4.0 isn't bad.

I got the data from Lyman 49. Cast 120gr with a RN has Power Pistol starting at 5.0. It has 115 JHP starting at 5.9.

Cast 120gr says 3.2 for Titegroup and 3.4 for Bullseye.

Xtreme says Our Copper Plated Bullets can be run at mid-range jacketed velocities or higher end lead velocities

    115 JHP 120 Cast

    Titegroup 4.0-4.5 3.2-3.8 Hodgdon says for GDHP 115gn 4.5-4.8 or 115 LRN 3.9-4.3

Bullseye 3.5-4.8 3.4-4.2 Alliant says for CPRN 115gn max 5.1 then start 10% below so 4.6

Power Pistol 5.9-6.5 5.0-5.6 Alliant says for CPRN 115gn max 7.1 then start 10% below so 6.4

So literally it all seems very high as you said especially Power Pistol. Bullseye seems okay for start for both. Titegroup again seems high.

Going from my Hornady page: 4.8 of Power Pistol is the start for 115 fmj. I load 147gn Berry's plated round nose using the low in Hornady so it's not an exact comparison, but I(personally) wouldn't have any problem starting with 4.8

    Do you have a chronograph?

No chronograph. Seems a lot of inconsistency on that Power Pistol. Literally the Alliant site has the start at the same as almost max in the Hornady book. That is scary.

Load data is based on what appliance is used to test the charge. Most don't use an actual firearm. They use a test device. Data and results will vary by what they did the testing in. Different barrel lengths and twist rates will give different results.

The data provided is not what works in your firearm. It is what works in their test appliance.

Pick a starting load and work from there.
I start low, being sure I don't have a squib and work up until the gun will cycle reliably.

I use 4.3 gr of Titegroup for 115gr RN 9mm plated and get good results with all of my 9mm guns. Several other reloaders I know use that charge.

Alright, how do you know if they're plated vs jacketed if you look at them?

Most jacketed rounds have exposed lead at the base of the bullet, though some are complete coverage.

OK, let's see if we can figure this out...I have two boxes of 9mm bullets I 'gathered' after the Clinton years. On my end, the selection was ignorant as I knew nothing about them and they were available and not too expensive. IIRC they are 115GR. I have no paperwork for them and in one box, the ends are uncoated and in the other they are fully coated. Is there a way I can tell? And would it really make any difference?
