    Default Ruger MKIII

Just curious to know if anyone has measured the stock trigger pull of an MKIII. I am on the verge of some upgrades to mine, and want to know what to expect.

I don't have a gauge available to me at this time, or I would just test mine.

I never measured mine (MKIII Hunter) nor do I have a gage to measure it with, but if I had to guess I would say it is between 5 and 6 pounds.

I have a Mark III 22/45 Hunter, and it has a ~3-4lb trigger.

I'd guess that the trigger on mine when it was stock was about 4-5 pounds. Now it's just above 2.

I was thinking of getting the Volquartsen kit. Is this what you used?
    Thanks,

The VQ sear will drop the trigger to just above 2 lbs. You can get a slightly lower pull with the VQ target hammer and sear. If you add the VQ trigger you have an externally adjustable trigger for pre and post-travel. I've done the trigger/sear/hammer on one MKIII and the trigger/sear replacements on a MKIII and 2 MKII's. I can't tell much difference between the full VQ kit and just the trigger and sear.
