Re: .22LR Pistols
Another vote for M&P Compact. Mine has been completely flawless. It has fed and shot everything including cheap bulk stuff. Easy to break down and clean (not something that can be said of all 22 pistols.)
If I were buying another one today, the M&P compact would be on the list because of the experience with the one I have, also on that list would be the Taurus and S&W Victory. The Hostler

Re: .22LR Pistols
No mention of the Glock 44 ? Held off for awhile till I read more from a Glocktaalk site. I will definitley get the 44 to accompany my 43X and 19 gen 4,still looking for a used 23 as I have 300 rounds of 40s&w stashed .

Re: .22LR Pistols
My Grail gun is a Hammerli SP 20 though I'd settle for an X-esse or a used 208. That being said for your in intended purposes a Model 41 is too pricey unless you buy used.
I think I'd look at a Ruger Mk IV Target version, but NOT the 22/45 grip. I'm really chagrined that High Standard is gone completely with teh closing of the Texas outfit that was building them. Other choices include S&W Model 617 and 63.

Re: .22LR Pistols
Besides being almost impossible to find absolutely nothing is wrong with a Mark I (I would love to have one). I just don't like the newer Rugers AFTER the Mark II. That loaded chamber indicator on the III is a joke and only marketing and newbies bitching on the internet made them make an "easy" field strip model. If they can't follow directions users of the Mark II might have scratched their head putting one back together the first time. But after that it is like riding a bike. You can take the bolt out and put it back in less than 5 seconds. It's not hard.

Re: .22LR Pistols
I have been trying to get my hands on a TX22. Almost got one at Tanners but it sold right in front of me and it was the last one.
Don’t like me ???? Tough, I don’t give a flying f@@k about ya.
