Chinese SKS
Yessir I have 2,
I did a search on date of mfg and if I remember correctly they were made in 1952 and 1953. I bought them in either 90 or 92. Don't shoot them too much but they run pretty good.
The downside to this post is I am going to keep them but I'll check around for ya.

SKS dates
SKS762,
I double checked the S/n's and both of my Chinese rifles were made in 57.
They start with s/n starting in the 1 million (140XXXX).
I just talked to a co-worker today who has an SKS he thinks is Chinese and is unsure if he will part with it. I'll work with him tonight and will get a definite answer.
Starblazer, it sounds like you know me too well .
SKS762 I was teasing you but I will see if my friend will part with his. He has a young family and was alluding to getting rid of his guns. What would you be willing to go if he will deal?

I have a sino-soviet sks...found it at a gun shop I visit...the owner is retired and most of the time he doesn't realize what he has...I paid $169 for it...it doesn't look as if it was shot very much. There is another local gun shop that I visited today and he has at least 5 chicom sks...and his prices are awesome...he normally knocks off $50 for a cash transaction.

He's going to keep it at this point.
I'm going to check the symbols on my rifles on uberfaq Simonov.net

happy...are you a dealer or something? Seeing how you are always pushing for people to go to Wolf's...if you are a dealer...why not donate to the site...or at the very least give the members on this site a discount.
