Radio communication as part of preparedness

Understandable. I might be able to make up an antenna this week and check it with the rg6 on the analyzer. I can tell how good or bad it might be. What would the length be.

Easiest is picking up pre made rg8 because you need the so239 chassis mount. Dx engineering has it all..

25’ rg8x same feedline I have. I’d just have it come through a cable plate with bristles on it so you can pull the excess out to get to your chair since the adapter cables are only a couple feet long.

Chassis mount for building the ground plane antenna. Just add copper wire. I would solder the center (driven) element but you could even use a butt connector. Look up online for exact lengths. But I think center is 19.25” to the insulator and radials are 20.5” and bent down at 45 degrees.
