Range recommendations
Hello, new shooter here and looking for a place to get some training and start shooting. I was thinking of using the Guardian Training Center in Bucks county, does anyone have any experience there or somewhere else that could get me started? I'm in northern Delaware county and not really interested in going in to the city. Thanks.

Re: Range recommendations
Welcome to PAFOA, a great place for information, entertainment and more than enough sarcasm. Guardian has some...umm...errrr...mixed reviews and bad interactions here. Look for a thread on them. I can't help you on your quest though, my range is pretty far from you.

Re: Range recommendations
Thank you, I did a search, came up with a couple things on Guardian but it was a few years old. There isn't much close by that I can find, Guardian and West Chester are both 45 minutes Lower providence is the closest at 30 minutes so it looks like I'll have to travel no matter where I go.

Re: Range recommendations
If you*re looking for some training, depending upon what type, there are local instructors thru the NRA, and or USCCA. You might look into joining the Delaware County Field and stream association also. Guardian has some personalities that are required tastes, to put it mildly.

Re: Range recommendations
If you only found things from a few years ago you should look a bit more before you make a decision.

Re: Range recommendations
I ended up going to Clayton's in Horsham on 611. I did an intro to handguns class that was helpful, no membership needed just walk in sign the waiver and go shoot. Staff seemed nice prices were reasonable, lanes are first come first serve and I think there might be a 30 minute limit. It is only 30 minute drive for me. Thanks for all the replies.
