It*s a excellent member of the Shield family that lives up to its name. I have one to train my daughter chambered in .380 and it*s a joy to shoot. They also have it in 9mm now too.

I remember (now) when the 380 came out. I didn't remember the name - I just remembered the goofy grip safety.

I watched the video. Looks like they addressed a lot of issues that make auto pistols "difficult" for some people to manipulate.
Hell, the shape of the slide (at the end) alone would make any handgun SO much easier to rack.

The only reason we have a Glock 19 is because Mrs EM was trying out all the damned guns in the case and couldn't work the slide until she came across the G19. "That's the one".
Looks like she could definitely handle one of these.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

After shooting mine my sister in law who has had several wrist operations bought one. It's really a excellent pistol to shoot especially in .380. My 12 year old daughter took right to it without any flinching or poor handling habits.

The 9mm takes a little more strength to rack than the 380 fyi - I still love my G19 gen4

my wife broke both of her wrist & had surgery on them, added some metal inside
there was no way she could rack my G-19 gen-4 ,maybe one out of ten tries she would get it, but it was not pretty
the EZ 9mm that we looked at didn't seem much easier to rack than the glock did.
+ the added recoil of the 9 didn't work out well for her..
The 380 she can load, rack and shoot all by herself, She took the all ladies training course at Elite and enjoyed it..
So yes this gun in 380 does fill a certain niche..

I ran a defensive pistol match with it and smoked my G43x times from the previous month. Now that there are a couple really good .380 SD offerings out there it’s a viable option for many.
