Source for inert/dummy ammo?
I want to practice some malfunction clearing and would like to do it with dummy rounds mixed into my live rounds (obviously at the range).
So... Does anybody have a source for cartridges that have no powder/primer or snap caps/dry fire cartridges that are so cheap i can afford to lose them if they eject across the firing line or just get lost?
Traditional snap caps are just too expensive to lose. Those goofy orange plastic cartridges get chewed up pretty quickly and often have flashing on them that makes them more of a liability than a training tool.
Any sources? Any hand loaders want to sell me 25-50 rounds without powder and primers? They don't need to be particularly clean nor have the spent primer pulled. Just dimensionally 9mm.
Edit - for clarification - needs to be low cost. Needs to be able to chamber.
