Re: Reloading Components Availability
They were in stock when I posted earlier. Didn't need them but thought someone might.
Many like federals.
Federal primers are made with softer metal and the priming mix is said to be more sensitive.
Those with modified firearms with lighter springs seem to prefer them.
Have an old Lee hand primer and advice at the time was not to use federals in it due to possible detonation. Although I have, err, I mean I know many that have. The new Lee version is marked for any primer use.It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Re: Reloading Components Availability
Who makes a 9mm bullet with a hollow base for tracer compound? I think it was berrys bullets
or someone else, they sent me a link to their bullets and one looked like it had a hollow base,
so I asked if its hollow so as to accept tracer com[pound. They never responded.

Re: Reloading Components Availability
Found a box of CCI 450's on an auction site Dunklebergers uses. Got them for $55 then drove into stroudsburg and picked them up. Got 200 55 gr for my .223 so just a matter of getting the time to reload them. Just have too much to do around the house.

Brownell has imr 4227 in stock.
Limit 2. $39 but tax, handling, shipping etc kicked that up to $50 per.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Re: Reloading Components Availability
Went to Cabela's in Hamburg, PA today. They had quite a bit of CCI No. 400 primers (Small Rifle Primers) on the shelf. $79.99 / box of 1,000. Too bad I don't need those.
The search for Large Rifle Primers and IMR 4985 continues.
