1911 trigger problem
OK, I confess I'm not much of a 1911 expert. I have two, and I like them, but I don't shoot them very often. Except for basic cleaning, I'm pretty much unfamiliar with the innards.
I shot my Springfield Loaded today, and the trigger felt awful. Normally there's no take-up to speak of after the reset, but today there was a lot, I'm guessing 1/16" or more.
What could cause the amount of take-up after reset to change suddenly? This gun always had a great trigger, but it was no fun at all to shoot today.

Re: 1911 trigger problem
While I am no 1911 wiz myself but the guy in my shop is a 1911 demi-god. With my limited knowledge I would say that that 2 bars that are connected to the back of the trigger that go to the sear bent out of adjustment. Adjusting those bars properly should help the take up.
If you would like him too look at it let me know and I'll tell you when to come by. He may be able to fix it while you wait.www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.
