According to other posts here, I thought it was against policy to advise people to break the law? If this becomes law, are we going to ban members who post about not complying? Personally, I sold all of mine to some guy wearing a mask. They can inspect my house when the law passes to confirm I no longer have them. After that there will be some hard decisions to make.

It's not breaking the law if the law is invalid.
That makes it theft and assault being done to you.

Should you not defend your life and property?

correct it is actually our duty to stop something like this as they are the ones going against the constitution.

That is the whole argument. AR 15s are not assault weapons, and as far as I know are not issued to our military to be used as such. Lots of firearms are made to look like military weapons.
The 1911, as mentioned a few times in this thread has a lot of clones, a GSG 22 is not what I want to step into a combat zone with. The gun haters use the name "assault weapon" to scare those uneducated about guns. Even our hunting shotguns can be accessorized to look like a military weapon.
