Lowliest in terms of price is the Ruger LC9s. It's for sweaty yard work, mountain bike crashes, skiing spills, etc.

If we're just talking price or size, it's my LCP Custom. Next in line in both categories would be my Bersa Thunder 380.

I hope you don't regret that someday.

A pocket holster doesn't just protect your trigger, it also keeps pocket lint and debris out of it. You don't want the chance of anything gunking it up when you really need it.

Get this one. Sticky and stays put. I've been using mine for years.

    SIZE 4 fits the LCP.

Are you crazy? $10.00? I don't have a job. That will cut into my hash cash...

Another thing to worry about if not using a holster, accidently bumping the mag release button. That would be great if you needed to draw and the mag falls out...AND you have an empty chamber.

    Seriously, please use a holster.

I carry my P32 in my pocket in a #1 Uncle Mikes IWB holster with the belt clip removed. It pretty much stays put.

In terms of caliber, my SIG P238 with Hornady Critical Defense ammo with an extra magazine full. I figure (hope) that it would be enough to slow down/stop the situation and/or get me to my main weapons if need be.

Size and value is my LCP. As for the actual definition of "lowly", it would be my Beretta 84 (No suffix). Barely any finish left on it, it's scratched, the grips are dented and chipped, but it shoots to the point of aim and is very reliable.

I use 3 different fire arms as "mouse guns" they are all back ups and depending where I'm going decides what BUG is going to take up residence in my right front pants pocket...Seecamp 32 acp, Rohrbaugh 9mm, or Smith J Frame chambered .32 H&R mag.
