The Political Pendulum and The PowerLords

Like Poe's perilous pendulum, the political pendulum of governmental control is swinging more wildly back and forth, being pressed farther and farther from the center as a result of the concerted efforts by those who desire power - The PowerLords.

These PowerLords desire governmental control because they believe THEY will be in control of the government. Every effort is being made to co-opt issues and causes that call for governmental control. Other efforts are being used to create chaos (anywhere and everywhere) in order to promote governmental control over new aspects of everyone's life.

The Coronavirus PANIC is a clear example of this expanded control paradigm. While the virus is contagious and has negative affects, the life & death consequences of this disease are only slightly elevated from other diseases from the past. But, in cooperation with the media, these PowerLords have distorted the risk factor to create chaos, for the specific purpose of increasing governmental control over the populace.

While this is the latest effort, their efforts have been ongoing for a long time. They have challenged every social norm in an effort to create chaos and have introduced disconcerting assertions into the public education system. They have usurped the definition of words in an effort to allow themselves and the media to paint any resistance to their goal with new monikers that pre-suppose hate, intolerance and violence.

The nature of their efforts is filled with the vial content and attitudes with which they seek to paint others. Their identity politics are intended to divide the American people against each other and conquer the notion of Freedom and Tolerance with universal suppression of the very Rights & Principles upon which America is founded.

The idea that 'an armed society is a polite society' is based on the very real difference between persuasion and coercion. While talk may be cheap, violence almost always creates permanent scars even when it does not terminally destroy peace. The First Amendment should be the prefered way of handling disputes with a priority for tolerance where persuasion is insufficient. But the Second Amendment exists for a reason. Ultimately, it exists to persuade those in power to avoid the path of the PowerLords and rather keep to the methods of the First Amendment.

PowerLords are dangerous to The People, no matter what justification they may offer for taking control. Their utopian view is myopic and destructive. PowerLords have no concept of the Golden Rule nor are they interested in everyone being equal. Any such proclamation is a ploy to harness a part of the populace to place themselves in power over all. The useful idiots are then rewarded with equal subjugation along with those they helped to oppose.

Patriots who want to preserve the Rights & Principles of America, and desire to do so without violence, must seek new ways to declare those Principles and make plain the value of the Rights that have been defended so valiantly in the past. To prevent violence, a massive campaign of persuasion must be launched to convince the American People that the Founding Principles were intended for the benefit of all, a cooperation of Freedom and Tolerance. Although the Principles may not have always been perfectly implemented, the created structures allowed for changes when changes actually benefited The People. There are right means to make changes.

But, now, it appears that the pendulum of radical politics may have already moved into the realm of physical confrontation as evidenced by the rioting, looting and burning. The 'Sword of Damocles' may have been hung forever. When any political movement pushes the pendulum into the realm of violence, the competing movement feels a need to meet force with superior force. The destructive nature of moving the pendulum too far off center (away from the center point of Principles, Rights, Freedom & Tolerance) may have begun to have it's devastating effect.

No matter which way the pendulum is pushed into violence, the results create wounds that are difficult to heal. We already have the middle east examples of centuries of violence that have been created where no tolerance exists for those who think and act differently from those in power, whether that involves religion or not. Violence is used to protest and violence is used to retaliate. Violence is used to protect and violence is used to promote control.

Moving from persuasion (arguing over ideas & methods) to rather coerce people to acquiesce is a dangerous change.

May God Bless America and keep us safe from each other.
