    Default S&W LRR

Ammo Question. I just purchased a S&W t/c Performance Center LRR in 6.5 creedmoor.
It's my first in that caliber and style and wanted to see if anyone can answer an ammo question.
I do not like to use steel cased in any rifle except AK's. I've used 223/5.56 steel case in AR's and nothing
but problems. I know AK's are designed to run on steel so no problem.
How about this LRR? My head says stick to brass but with the shortage, there's not much out there but I
can get Wolf steel case no problem but not sure how they would run in this rifle? My shop wasn't 100% sure
about reliability - they said accuracy might be affected though? Any thoughts?
This is stock picture not mine but exact set up - I got the bundle with scope, wind meter and case

    * scrap it - I miss read. 6.5 creedmoor not available in steel case I looked at 6.5 grendel in error

Wouldn't the steel case effect only the extractor?

A bi metal jacket also wears out barrels faster than copper jackets, and 6.5 creedmoor already has a short barrel life to begin with. Will the average shooter be affected though? Hell no. And if you can shoot out your barrel with ammo as expensive as 6.5CM, you can afford a rebarrel.

Didn't know about the barrel. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks. Yup, not worried about wearing out anything - this will just be my casual 200 yard plinker - lol.
