Who made the arrest? PA police or feds? Who is making hte charges PA or Feds? If they have proof of straw purchases and/or sales to prohibited persons those are violations of Federal law and Feds can prosecute him without idiocy from PA DAs.
Found It! Montgomery County DA is pressing the charges. Maybe he should refer it to the US attorney's office.

I wonder what is considered an "Alarming" amount of firearms? In the past two months I've bought 6 guns and plan on buying more before January.

There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

A criminal mastermind, to be sure. His business plan was a bit weak in the risk/reward area. So assume he cleared $500 on the resale of each of the 36 firearms he bought, since the buyers were prohibited. Grossed $18,000 for five months work and over 1700 miles driven, among other expenses. The risk? Eventually be caught and sent away for a long time. Could have done better working Mickey Dees.
