Oh thats right...nobody cares about who I was to verify that my vote is valid.
As soon as you submitted your vote into the machine it changed it to Biden anyway.

I work at the local polling place, it was right in the manual that voting is everyone's right and you could not deny anyone not wearing a mask. you could "request" or "suggest" but the guide said in no uncertain terms that no one could be forced to wear one or turned away for not wearing one.

To the guy that said his carry license raised eyebrows, that is also in the manual specifically as an acceptable form of ID.

Aren’t the local Constables supposed to provide security at voting sites?

To some extent. We have two polling sites right here near me and the Constable spent the AM at one and PM at the other. I didn't say anything but it sounded ridiculous to me, what, was one site more prone to AM problems and the other one PM?

We have to by law. We can be fined if we don't show up.

Some constables have more than one polling place within their jurisdiction, so I could see them splitting their time. My borough only has one ward, so I'm there all day.

My understanding is that in that situation the constable can deputize somebody to security gather polling place.

    Correct?

Yes, we can deputize an election-day constable to work the polls in our place. I don't know if it's possible to deputize more than one for multiple wards.

Pretty sure the guy was working his first election. The guy who said it was fine was showing him what to do and where to look in the book to find voters, so I figured he just hadn't seen one before.

Nah, it’s not their duty to post up at every polling place, but if there is trouble it is the sheriff’s office who is charged with law and order at the polls. They didn’t need to be there at all, probably just wanted to be out with extra high perceived tensions this year.
