    Default Nancy Pelosi could be the next president!

    Here is the run down of the chain of command if the POTUS and VPOTUS were killed or incapacitated...

    Speaker of the House of Representatives
    President Pro Tempore of the Senate
    Secretary of State
    Secretary of the Treasury
    Secretary of Defense
    Attorney General
    Secretary of the Interior
    Secretary of Agriculture
    Secretary of Commerce
    Secretary of Labor
    Secretary of Health and Human Services
    Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
    Secretary of Transportation
    Secretary of Energy
    Secretary of Education
    Secretary of Veterans Affairs
    Secretary of Homeland Security

    After reading further I discovered something I didn't know. Only the VP can take the title as President in the event of a Presidential incapacity or death.

    From the Speaker down, even if they permanently took the office, the would have the title of Acting President, no matter how long they had the job.

    Does it really matter? No matter who the next President is, they will be acting .
