My first loaf of bread
Turned out great and super easy to make. Aced it the first time and I can’t cook. Few mins of work and a few hours of waiting and you have a fresh loaf bread. I have enough ingredients here for a years worth of bread @2 loads per week.
Crispy outer crust with a soft center perfect for sandwiches or dinner.

Re: My first loaf of bread
Congrats and thanks for sharing.
I did my first bread a few months ago without any prior baking experience.
I mostly followed this YT video which is very similar to your recipe:
I am also a paid member of Cooks Illustrated.
They recommend in their bread recipe to add 6 tbls of lager beer and 1 tbls of white wine vinegar to the 3/4 cups of water. They said this helps add more flavors to the bread.
When I did this previously I did not use beer nor vinegar but I'll try this today and report back.
Another good video I found was this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCZBQ25zfa8

Congrats on a successful first loaf. Bread overall isn't difficult, simple ingredients, but it's the process that makes it good. Before you know it, you'll be making your own pasta.

Butter is a good idea. If you have kids, put a half pint of heavy cream in a pint mason jar and have them shake it. They can see it turn to whipped cream. Then tell them to keep shaking until it separates. Rinse with cold water and it’s very good butter. I usually add some salt, I like salted butter. Kitchen aid will do this too
