Heavy rains, causes too much flow for the plant to handle and the only solution is to let it pass through otherwise the plant gets flooded. But it's the farmers that are problem, get the EPA/DEP go after them, instead of going after the cities.
    Nutrients is probably the least things they should be worrying about going into the water table I can just imagine all those pharmaceutical's getting flushed down the toilet 😨

    Drugs aren't removed during the process regardless. Increased nutrients flowing down the river results in increased algae growth. Increased algae growth leads to oxygen depletion of the waters, which leads to lots of dead fish.
