Default Rumor about Walmart ammo sales

I know a few people here work at Walmart so I was wondering if this was true: Did Walmart stop selling guns and ammunition until after the election? I thought they were just out of everything but I've heard they just stop selling it. I don't know if they are expecting looters or if this is a bunch of B.S.

I saw where they stopped having guns and ammo on the sales floor when the looting started, aka George Floyd peaceful protests, back in June, in certain area. Probably Philadelphia. But those items were supposedly still being sold. I'll check later at Harborcreek.

In years past, I'd hit Walmart specifically looking for ammo because it was cheap. For the most part, I still to private and online sales now. Haven't stepped foot inside a Walmart in years. Not much of a loss.

Soundslike a form of redlining to me....somebody might get sued.

Happened to stop in a Walmart a few days ago, the mouth breather in sporting goods told me they're not selling any pistol ammo. I did see some shotgun shells, and they still had a few rifles for sale.

I thought they stopped selling handgun and high capacity machine gun ammo a while ago.

When a Walmart associate asks, "Is the .22 ammunition for a pistol or a rifle", how does one keep from laughing?

I checked the Walmart at KoP 2 days ago. They have a small selection of shotgun ammo (looked like all were target/bird shot loads), and an even smaller selection of rifle ammo (mostly hunting stuff.... lots of .243 Winchester. A couple boxes of 30-06 (I thought that was actually surprising), and a few boxes of 22 WMR. No typical pistol calibers at all. No 556, no 762, no 308.

Who in Walmart, from head honchos on down, knows that 30-06 is far more powerful than "High Powered" AK-47 ammunition?

I bought .22 mag there on tuesday, so I'm guessing the answer to the OP is "no".
