As I said elsewhere, Freedom has the dangerous potential of societal suicide by those who are depressed and deluded. That is why a Supreme Court that honors the Constitution (as legislated & written) is so important in a Republic - It is the last defense of individual Rights against the Mass Hysteria of Mob Rule by pure democracy.
