Default Re: F.O.A.C. Endorses Biden-Harris Supporter in 50th District

I don't think a lot of you understand how the game is played in these chambers. This is all by the numbers game. Once the democrats control the House or Senate they control the committees and control who the chairman of those committees are. The Chairman decides what legislation to bring up and whether it'll get to the floor. This whole idea that a State representative that's a democrat that has supported gun owners won't matter one whit when the committees are chaired by socialists hellbent on changing or ignoring the Constitution. This is completely lost on those that support this non sense of backing someone that supports extremist anti gunners and is a card carrying member of the democrat party. I don't understand how no one is seeing this fatal flaw in that action.

Maintaining control of both houses should be the priority and it's our only chance of maintaining our gun rights in the State. We've been sold down the river. Isn't it time to begin something that actually has gun owners best interest in mind instead the usual political expediency. Sometimes it feels like being in McHale's Navy and Ensign Parker is in command. Believe me I've done my level best with what little influence I have to change the way the NRA does business but that didn't work out either because its money and power that overrule best interests every time. End.

I don't know these candidates. I don't live in that district. I can't vote for either one.

But here's some links to the Republican candidate - Larry Yost. If you live in that district do your own homework.

    They can*t win.

She has a strong pro gun record. Lots of republicans can*t say that. Their endorsement seems fine to me.
This is my stance on it too. Allies on the other side is not a bad thing, and we do need to hold Republicans accountable too. If they're not standing up for the Constitution, replace them with someone who is...no matter what party they're registered under.

While I'll never see myself supporting a member of the Socialist Party, it does seem that Ms. Snyder might actually be the better option in her race.

I agree with the Republicans in 99% of the races, but my first priority is the Constitution, not party loyalty. The fact that virtually no Democrats share my views isn't because of party loyalty, it's just due to how lost their are.

You're very right. I know this thread is about a House race, but keeping leaders like Rob Kauffman in charge in Harrisburg is vital to preserving our freedom. He has shut down gun control in Harrisburg, at least on the Senate side. If a Democrat takes charge of the Senate Judiciary Committee, we're screwed forever. Same applies in the House. We need to keep a majority, but on the flip side, we also need 2A supporters no matter where they come from. This is why politics is such a slimy game where morals go out the window. Sometimes you're put in the position of compromising your morals to get the end result you need.

If we continue to funnel everything down to "Republican" or "Democrat", we will always have a divide which will only serve to work against us. I see no issues with an organization endorsing an *individual* who has a strong pro-2A voting record. To me, voting record is much more important than party lines; and, frankly, I believe strongly that the more we vote based on party and party alone, the less results we'll see. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter who provides the resistance, so long as resistance is applied. Politics are rife with vitriol based on emotion. Some basic human decency should still apply, regardless if you're D, R or somewhere in between. Unlikely to happen in my lifetime, but one could dream.

Under normal circumstances your post would make perfect sense, unfortunately we are not living in normal times. I won't repeat the litany of anti-American acts in the recent months or the goals of the democratic party. You can look their platform up for yourself.
If you're a democrat, you may as well be wearing a swastika on your sleeve, and anyone who belongs to that party is an enemy of America.
There are a shitload of Republicans who fall into that same category however the party platform puts America first. Admittedly I'll have to hold my nose while voting for some of them, but to save America the democratic party must be completely destroyed and replaced by a party or parties that give two shits about the country and not someones individual feelings.

I want to thank FOAC for explaining how and why they choose the people that they endorse. It does make sense and I appreciate the insights. I also agree with Jennifer.
