I hear this argument regarding the pro-life issue where people say that you can endorse and vote for a pro-life Democrat, like Bob Casey. The problem is, she may be pro second amendment, but the Democrat PARTY is NOT. And if, by her re-election, the Democrats win a majority they will set the agenda and decide what legislation will and won*t get voted on. I would much rather stop anti-gun bills by having a Republican majority that won*t allow them out of committee than try to fight off bad legislation on the floor after the Democrats have passed it out of committee. And forget any pro gun bills in a Democrat majority. I agree with Kim, there are big-picture considerations, and keeping the ANTI GUN Democratic Party out of power should be the biggest one.

We have a Dem in Berks who is always on our side. Mark Grazzi. I always vote for him. The only Dem that I do.

I want to thank you for presenting a case for the FOAC actions, even in the face of opposition to the organization. Open discussion is a good thing when biases are restrained to be able to at-least hear what is being thought & said. Then, people can make their own decisions based on presented information (hopefully, accurate information).

However, as I've posted previously in other threads, the present attacks on the 2nd Amendment are wrapped up (hiding under the cover) in many other attacks on the sanctity of the Constitution, for both state & nation. While some politicians may honestly try to support the RTKBA, if they are also supporting an organization that has committed itself to attack the Constitution & rule of law, an organization that supports disrespect for the law and regularly lies about others violating the law in exactly the way they themselves ARE violating the law, how can they be a true asset (in the long run) to maintaining respect for the RTKBA & the Constitution?

Rather than endorsing, it might be better to simply post that this politician has a record favorable to the 2nd Amendment but belongs to a party that disrespects the Constitution, and leave it to the voter to decide whether that particular conundrum is worth the support.

Is incombency really more important than giving another declared supportor of the 2A a chance to demonstrate a better commitment to the overall importance of the whole Constitution?

Again, I thank you for presenting the FOAC perspective.

Have to disagree with supporting any democrat that is currently in office. The only way to change things is decrease the power of democrats. They have become a party of socialism and supporting even one member that could flip the house to democrat control is simply ludicrous. The leaders are not seeing or are purposely ignoring what is being done by the democrats. If this person who is now a democrat is for the 2nd amendment and Constitutional order why do they still associate their name with a party that has decided they want to override or ignore all those things we hold dear like the PA and US Constitution? I've never contributed to FOAC or supported them in the past in any way shape or form and that will continue.

It's no different than when Alan Gottlieb turned his back on gun owners in a big way to support the Universal Gun Registration scheme of Toomey/Manchin. Supporting a candidate that supports Biden/Harris, the very people we have fought all these years who would strip every right you have away from you is utterly incomprehensible. This all reminds of the rino tactic of saying we need to reach across the aisle but the problem with that is every time you do that you draw back a bloody stump and we lose ground because democrats have set agenda of destroying America as it was founded and the wishy washies are fooled every time with this tactic.

Many, even some of this forum attack FOAC for being GOP shills.

They find one, perhaps the only, democratic in the State that supports section 21 of the Constitution, and they get attacked for it.

    They can*t win.

She has a strong pro gun record. Lots of republicans can*t say that. Their endorsement seems fine to me.

I think it's how they handled it here. If they took out the insulting attitude it would be different.

Pro tip - if someone is angry at you for doing something that could be seen as the opposite of normal don't come at them with attitude. Calmly explain the reasons. Don't post links or ask them incredulously if they know about the organization.

This comes from a paying member of FOAC who will think hard about renewing due to the attitude.

As to the substance of your concerns, I feel it is appropriate to ask if you even know anything about organization? Do you know that we have been around for 27+ years and are responsible for virtually every major legislative victory in Pennsylvania from act 17 in 1995 to Castle doctrine in 2010? My point is that it is unfair of you to insinuate that we do not thoroughly look at these issues and judge each one on its merits, especially if you are not aware of our 27 year history of defending rights in Pennsylvania!
This is a bad bad bad response. No reason for this to be here AT ALL.

Our endorsement policy is readily available on our website: https://foac-pac.org/uploads/Electio...2017-Final.pdf. It explains everything from our perspective and I would have hoped that you would have taken the opportunity to go to our website and examine his prior to your criticisms.
This link does not work. Besides, even if it talks about the policy, still doesn't explain how it applies here. Another bad response.

I'm definitely not happy about this response.
