Don't think the PGC has referred to hunter orange as blaze orange for 30 years.
    Just fluorescent orange now.

Just had to reach back to when I remember that term. Had to be when I was in HS.

    Thanks all!

I used 2 of the IMR White Hot Pellets for a total of 100 grains. Checked and I used the Hornady Monoflex sabots, red tip, 250 grains. Plenty lethal combo at that range. Had a good size exit round on other side and found part of jacket inside when gutting.

Amen to cleaning deer size animals. I couldn*t get the damn poop tube out so I split the pelvis to be able to get the bottom half all cleaned out. Taxidermist said shit, made my job a lot harder to skin as he likes to hang the bear on his hoist using a hook on the pelvis bone. He said next time leave it in there if you can*t get it out we*ll take care of it here.

Thanks, she really is. I*m in my mid 50*s and every time I kill/harvest an animal I still have a moment or two of sadness. This may be my last bear even if I get another chance. I*ll get the annual license to help fund PAGC but unless it is a monster, I*m thinking I*ll pass.

Got the rug mount back last weekend. Her coat was awesome! The inside of the hide has a super nice rug backing and hooks on all 4 paws and head to mount on the wall. For now it’s draped over a railing until I figure out where I want to put it.

Also got a cool harvest certificate from PAGC.

    Sweet!
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Palerider, did they use a plastic nose or the real deal? Rug came out real nice.

We never talked about using plastic. I remember feeling it and it had that rubbery consistency so I*m thinking it*s real.

Is there anything I need to be mindful of for its longevity? We did talk about annual dust removal using a light vacuum or blowing off softly with compressed air.
