From the sounds of it they're trying to make all AK/AR pistols fall under the same classification as SBR's requiring the tax stamp.

you are correct we need absolutely need to light up our elected officials and tell them to stop this ...... remember when someone I don't need a bump stock so I don't care? Well Here's the result of that right here. Nobody should have to pay after the fact and really the NFA is bullshit to begin with you should not be required to pay an additional tax for the "privilege" of owning a firearm
