.338 Lapua scope recommendation
I'm looking for some input/recommendations for a scope, I just bought a new Christensen Arms .338 Carbon Lapua and need to get a scope for it. I'm sort of lost in the sea of scopes available and there's a huge price range. The main range I'll be shooting at is only 400 yards but would like to visit some ranges with up to 1,000 yard targets.
I'd also like a recommendation on a good bi-pod setup, I'm trying to stay within around $2,000 - $2,500 between the scope and bi-pod. I want to do it right the first time so I don't want a much more limited budget scope but I probably also don't need the most fancy thing on the market either.

Vortex Razor seems to be best bang for the buck. You're going to be around $2000 for a decent scope. There was one for sale in the classifieds here recently.

Re: .338 Lapua scope recommendation
Thanks, that's actually one of the ones I've been looking at. You're talking this model here - https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1009453030?pid=668110
I did see that one in the classifieds after you mentioned it but they want to much to make it worth the drive to get it.

Re: .338 Lapua scope recommendation
I'm putting the vortex f-class inspired golden eagle on mine. https://riflescopesreviews.com/vorte...w-hd-15-60x52/
I picked up a refurb this spring for $1100 from aaoptics when they were in stock and have been "plinking"(*) with it on my 6.5cm until my
338 budget replenishes.. I plan on getting the Ruger Precision in 338 along with an Atlas Bipod.
(*)The 6.5cm w/golden eagle is non-eventful, almost boring shooting at 500yds. It's boom-ping all day long, like 22lr plinking at 50yds..

Re: .338 Lapua scope recommendation
Thanks for the recommendation, looks like they're about an hour from me so I'll have to put it on my list to check out sometime.
Can someone help me clarify the difference between these two scopes?
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2420449004
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1009453030?pid=668110
Both are the same 4.5-27x 56mm but one says 1/4 MOA adjustments and the other is 1/10 MIL adjustments. Which would be the better of the two to get? It looks like both come in at $1,999 with the EBR-7C reticles.

Re: .338 Lapua scope recommendation
MOA=minute of angle and MIL=milliradians (or something like that) I kind of know what a minute of angle is but am still working on milliradians. Search it and if you figure it out in a way you can 'splain it to me, please help me out. It seems like the MIL is more popular. They have to do with windage and elevation adjustments.
