Re: Armslist No Longer Free
I have used Rennug Classifieds for a long time! It is much better than Armslist and the folks on it have been great to deal with. A few DB's but far fewer between than AL.
Rennug bailed me out for getting primers this summer on a WTB add I put up.Engineers make things idiot proof! Evolution makes better idiots!

Now they have an expired SSL certificate. It's gone from bad to worse.

Re: Armslist No Longer Free
Not sure how that all works, but last week I looked at the City of Philadelphia court website, and this week at least one page that I looked at now generates the warning about the page having an expired cert, and warning me off.
I could see if they had signs like that on I-95 going into the city....Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Armslist monthly charge
Well its been a little while since I looked for anything on armslist and I guess it will be a lot longer or never till I buy there again. It seems they now charge a monthly fee for anyone to purchase anything. I guess they really want to limit sales. Can't see many of us paying monthly if we only buy occasionally. Another site gone bad in my humble opinion.

Re: Armslist monthly charge
That started a couple months ago. I initially thought is would weed out scammers, but it doesn't seem to have had any impact on that. I guess they can justify a couple bucks a month to try to run a $1000 scam.
Some sellers put their email or phone number in their ads so buyers don't need a subscription, but not many.

Re: Armslist monthly charge
most sellers still post a phone number to get a hold of them...
