4 bears rt 196 crossover onto 423 today where a recent black bear cinnamon color was found shot, PGC investigating !

I don't know that both bear or deer are moving that much during the day this week due to the high temps. With all their winter fat stored up, they have a hard time not overheating, especially in the warm sun. Unfortunately, the temps aren't going down much until after muzzleloader season goes out.
I like hunting in October xue to the warmer temps, but this is too warm. I think your best bet this week will be to hunt the fallen barometer on Saturday morning and possibly Saturday late afternoon as the cold front pushes in.
You're in prime area for bears. But, you can't shoot them if they're lying in a shady laurel thicket trying to stay cool.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Saw one crossing 402 just north of Peck's Pond two weeks ago. Saw a HUGE one awhile ago down by the Boy Scout Camp. They are here...just gotta find 'em
