Re: 96th House District ?
JenniferG, the reason the F.O.A.C. campaign mailer for Snyder in the 50th Legislative District is such a shame and a travesty is that Republicans gripe when Democrats run unopposed. Well, my point to LBaker is that Larry Yost is giving Snyder opposition, but he had no way of garnering an endorsement from F.O.A.C., according to its tenets.
Greene County, a small portion of western Fayette County, and a slice of Washington County comprise the 50th LD. The 51st and the 52nd LDs, formerly Democrat, are now represented by Rep. Matthew Dowling and Rep. Ryan Warner, respectively. Dowling is pro-2A, and Warner is one of the staunchest pro-2A representatives in the PA General Assembly.
With the trend in SWPA (strong pro-life/pro-family, strong pro-2A, strong coal country and gas country) away from a Democrat Party which is marching ever Leftward, in a hotly contested presidential election year, there has never been a better time to see the 50th LD seat flip. That is why I adamantly oppose the F.O.A.C. mailer for Snyder.
Looking around the 50th LD, even in its very heart of Greene County (where Snyder formerly served as a commissioner), there are Trump-Pence signs everywhere. More often than not, one will find a Larry Yost sign right next to them. There are some Trump supporters with Snyder signs in their yards; however, in the vast majority of cases, Snyder's signs are next to Biden-Harris signs.
Snyder must be very concerned about the length of Donald J. Trump's coattails, for she is running hard and spending like crazy on campaign ads -- radio ads, Pluto TV ads, signage, and even a "Vote For Our Pam" country diddy.
Again, F.O.A.C. has the prerogative to endorse whomever it likes, but sending a campaign mailer out for Snyder under a "Paid For by Firearms Owners Against Crime" banner at the most opportune time to garner the seat in the 50th Legislative District is a travesty.
