I am quite certain the Obama's supported Harris in the primary. IMO Biden picked Harris because it was the only way to get Obama's support, and to get him to turn out the black vote.

While that may be, many Blacks that I know are disgusted with the Democrats selecting a female whose ancestors trace to Jamaica and India and calling her "black." "She ain't black enough" they say, in so many words. Some might think that racist of them, but I think they have a point. It's directly like Elizabeth Warren calling herself a Native American - mis-identification, pure and simple.
