Re: Who says Shockwave-style "firearms" are useless?
That earlier question about the practical difference between a Shockwave type weapon and a shotgun with an 18 inch barrel struck a chord with me.
When the Shockwave hit the market, I wanted one....just because. But....I had a Mossberg pump that I was not using and I had an 18 inch barrel on the shelf. I could (and did) buy a bird*s head grip and a more aggressive forend. The result was a *Shockwave* with a four inch longer barrel. To own the 14 inch version would have cost about $100 an inch.
That difference buys a lot of ammo.
I can live with the longer barrel....especially on a gun which does not get much use. I stay current with it (and it is fun to shoot)“Auto racing, bull fighting, and mountain climbing are the only real sports ... all others are games.”Hemingway ...

^^^^^ This is exactly what I did - that slightly longer barrel also works as a place to attach the flashlight.

Shockwave+sidesaddle laser+mini shells+adapter= reliable, accurate, 8 shot, lightweight, low-recoil home defender that even my wife can easily handle.....'nuff said.
