Smith's Guns & Ammo - Reading, PA
This shop is on Route 61 in Reading. It was formerly Gun Traders.
My experiences with Gun Traders were mixed. It all depended on whether or not Jim (the new owner) was working that day. The former owner, Bill, was a real asshole.
Anyway, Gun Traders closed and Jim now owns the business and has rebranded it Smith's Guns & Ammo.
Shop has a decent selection (given the current supply shortages) and Jim and his current staff are super friendly. Clean shop, nice atmosphere, fair prices. Thumbs up.Last edited by Rendez-Voodoo; October 13th, 2020 at 04:06 PM.

I concur. Haven’t been there since the one experience I had in 2009/2010 with him selling me a brand new keltec that snapped its trigger springs 23rds into ownership (115gr fmj).
Good to know it’s under new ownership, I may have to look into them again next time I’m down that way

Never bought anything from Gun Traders, but similar experience with owner's attitude. He was a big union guy at Dana/Parish 'in the day.' 'Nuff said.
I'll have to check out the new ownership.
