    If Philly is aware of the lead time, are they sending out renewal notices a year and a half in advance? If not, that sound a bit negligent!

    I*m not sure they even do, at least in my case the last time I renewed I didn*t get anything in the mail

    They should according to the law: PA CS18, 6109 (f) 2

    At least 60 days prior to the expiration of each license, the issuing sheriff shall send to the licensee an application for renewal of license. Failure to receive a renewal application shall not relieve a licensee from the responsibility to renew the license

    I know they shout but they don*t. When I lived in Delco they didn*t send anything either.

    Part of the LTCF fee is for the closet of processing and mailing the renewals. It is specifically sent aside. Not mailing it would be misappropriation of government funds, or you know, theft.
